Today I steered myself into my running shoes and onto the trail, despite the fact that distance running and I have a love-hate relationship.
Call me a perfectionist (or human), but I don't like doing things I'm not good at.
And I def don't like admitting failure. 
Skipping a workout.
Messing up a diet.
Or not hitting a distance that was written in my planner as the run for the day.
It frankly would be a lot easier for me to pop in a p90x DVD or do some insanity.
But that's comfortable.
And I have a goal.
I'm gonna kick ass at my Tough Mudder with my team, whiskey business, in June. 
So comfort be damned.
Perfection be damned.
Because it's not about perfect.
It never freaking is.
It's about steering yourself down a path that makes you better.
And I'm steering myself like a mad woman.
While simultaneously running away from geese 😂😂
